Margret Schmidt

Margret Schmidt is TiVo's Chief Design Officer, and Vice President of Design & Engineering. She is responsible for the design and development of all domestic and international TiVo products, including DVR and set-top box software, and iOS, Android, and Web apps. Margret is an invited speaker on design and innovation, including SXSW, CES, The TV of Tomorrow Show, LeadOn CA, and U.C. Berkeley.

Margret holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from U.C. Berkeley. She has a 2006 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Interactive Television, and has been named one of the Most Powerful Women in Cable (Top Women in Technology list) for five years running (2010-2014) by CableFAX Magazine. She is a 2013 YWCA Silicon Valley Tribute to Women honoree, and one of Silicon Valley Business Journal's Women of Influence 2013. Margret has been with TiVo since 2001, and holds five patents.
