Industry Architects Events

The Television Academy and the Council of Former Chairs is presenting a series of exclusive events featuring candid and provocative conversations with television industry leaders.

The first Industry Architects event was held in March 2017 at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills. The invitation-only audience heard a conversation with Richard Plepler, CEO of HBO, moderated by writer Nicole LaPorte.

The second event was in December 2017 at the Saban Media Center. FX Networks CEO John Landgraf discussed the future of television with Variety's Andy Wallerstein.

In January 2020, David Nevins, Chief Creative Officer of CBS Corporation and Chairman and CEO of Showtime Networks spoke with Variety's Michael Schneider about the content revolution that continues at the intersection of technology and entertainment. See photos and video from that event.
