Richard Greenberg was an American title designer and visual effects producer.
Greenberg received an Oscar nomination in the category of Best Visual Effects for his work on the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger film Predator, as well as two Daytime Emmy Award nominations.
Greenberg began designing titles with his brother Robert, with whom he founded R/Greenberg Associates, Greenberg handled the artistic side of the business, while his brother served as company manager. It wasn’t until the early 1990s that Greenberg moved to Hollywood after he received his 1988 Oscar nomination.

Among his many other opening-sequence credits are Superman, Alien, Dirty Dancing, Zelig, The Untouchables, The World According to Garp, Altered States, Independence Day, Seven, The Matrix and the Lethal Weapon series.
He also directed the 1989 film Little Monsters, starring Fred Savage and Howie Mandel, along with the 2003 documentary The Process and a 1990 episode of HBO’s Tales from the Crypt.
Greenberg died June 16, 2018, in New York City, New York. He was 71.
