Best known for his horror classic The Descent, which he wrote and directed, Neil Marshall most recently shot the pilot of Warner Brothers’ Constantine for NBC.
His additional television credits include the renowned Game of Thrones episode “Blackwater” as well as this season’s penultimate episode “The Watchers on the Wall”, which has been called the series’ “most cinematic episode yet” by The Hollywood Reporter and is, according to The Daily Beast’s Andrew Romano, “the best hour of action filmmaking so far this year” and “the show’s most sophisticated and stunning action episode yet."

This past year, he also directed pilot and third episode of Black Sails for Starz with Michael Bay executive producing. Marshall is currently attached to direct an adaptation of the Swedish hit feature Troll Hunter, and his previous film work includes the features Centurion and Dog Soldiers.
