Kevin Curran was an Emmy-winning writer and producer best known for his work on Late Night with David Letterman and The Simpsons.

As a student at Harvard, where he was an editor at the Harvard Lampoon, Curran befriended Al Jean, with whom he would later work for fifteen years on The Simpsons.

He got his start in TV as a writer on Letterman, and went on to write for the Fox comedy Married...with Children, followed by The Good Life and Happily Ever After, prior to The Simpsons.

During his career, Curran won six Emmy Awards — three for Letterman and three for The Simpsons.

Curran died on October 25, 2016, after a long illness. He was 59.
