Lucia Gervino's prolific career spans the Production, Creative and Senior Executive ranks in Television and Feature Films - both domestically and internationally. She has produced over several hundred episodes in over 15 countries. In her most recent corporate role as Senior Vice President, Physical Production Gervino was recruited by BET to increase scripted production and manage an extensive post production facility as both the Studio and Network executive.
Gervino had spent 8 years at the Syfy Channel. She began her Syfy career as Director, Development and was promoted up the ranks to Senior Vice President, Production. She provided strategic direction, leadership and oversight to the creative and production divisions of Syfy where she managed all third-party scripted projects, such as: Helix, Haven and Being Human; and, all unscripted original programming - which increased exponentially during her tenure.
Gervino also spent a number of years at Rysher Entertainment managing both Feature Films and scripted Television production, including such hits as Private Parts and Kingpin; and, long-running series as Oz, Nash Bridges, plus many others.
She began her entertainment career at A&M Records and then moved to A&M Films as a development executive. She is a graduate of UCLA with a B.A. in Creative Writing and English Literature, and is a published writer.
Gervino is return Chair for the 2015 Television Academy Honors Awards. She has served as Co-chair of the Governors' Award, on the Executive Committee and Board of Governors.
