AwesomenessTV is on to something else big — Big Frame, the YouTube multi-channel network which it has just acquired for $15 million.

Pending closing conditions, the cash deal brings AwesomenessTV (the YouTube MCN and multi-platform production company acquired by DreamWorks in in 2013) a sterling roster of YouTube stars and emerging talent, all discovered and developed by Big Frame founders Sarah Penna and Steve Raymond.

Since opening its doors in 2011, Big Frame has corralled such perennial, million-subscriber-plus YouTubers as DeStorm, MysteryGuitarMan, newer online star Tyler Oakley and Life According to Jimmy’s Jimmy Tatro, who is set to appear with Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill and Ice Cube in summer 2014 theatrical 22 Jump Street.

“Sarah and Steve have a great track record for identifying and developing talent,” Awesomeness TV CEO and Co-Founder, Brian Robbins said. “Working together, we can build talent brands that will transcend YouTube.”

With Big Frame’s 300+ channels and nearly 40 million subscribers, AwesomenessTV forecasts nearly one billion global monthly views.

This announcement arrives on the heels of last week’s Disney’s purchase of Maker Studios, furthering the MCN consolidation trend.
