Ed Greene studied film and television at New York University and in 1997 won a Student Emmy for his documentary about the struggles of a volunteer ambulance corps working the dangerous streets of Bed-Stuy, New York. While at NYU Ed was blessed to find a mentor in the late Lora Hays, who took him under her wing and made him her co-editor on various documentary projects for PBS and Discovery Channel after graduating in 1997.
Two years later Ed branched out into the advertising jungle of New York and began cutting commercials under the tutelage of the late producer Lee Zimmerman.

Ed eventually moved back into television shows and has been editing ever since - working on programming for ABC, NBC, National Geographic, Lifetime and Sundance Channel. He has been the lead editor for many series, including The Squad: Prison Police for A&E, Swords: Life on the Line for Discovery Channel, and Ax Men for History Channel. Along with his Emmy nominations, he was nominated for an ACE Eddie for Best Reality Editing for Deadliest Catch in 2009.
He is forever grateful to the enormously talented filmmakers he has learned from along the way.
